How it works

Bookkeeping without becoming a bookkeeper.

Send it over WhatsApp the moment it happens. SubReady turns it into a proper record and keeps everything organised for your accountant — no spreadsheets, no Sunday-night catch-up.

What you can send

SubReady lives in a WhatsApp chat, so there’s nothing new to learn. You can send:

Receipts

Receipt photos

Snap the receipt at the counter and send it. It’s read, categorised and saved.

Expenses

Typed expenses

No receipt? Just type what you spent and it’s recorded in seconds.

Income

Income & payments

Tell SubReady when you’ve been paid and it goes straight into your records.

Bank

Bank statement PDFs

Upload your statement PDF once a month. SubReady reads the transactions — it never connects to your bank.

CIS

CIS statements

Send your deduction statement and the gross, deducted and net figures are captured.

Invoices

Invoices by message

Ask for an invoice in a message and SubReady creates it for you.

Step 1 — Send it

Whatever it is, send it the moment it happens. A photo, a line of text, a PDF — all from the same chat you already use every day.

You: “Bought materials at Screwfix £84.60” (with a photo of the receipt)
SubReady: “Got it 👍 £84.60 expense recorded · Category: Materials · Receipt saved”
You: “Paid £42 for software subscription”
SubReady: “Got it 👍 £42.00 expense recorded · Category: Software”

Step 2 — SubReady sorts it

Behind the scenes, SubReady reads what you’ve sent, works out what it is and files it under the right category. You get an instant confirmation back in the chat, and anything unclear is flagged for a quick check rather than quietly guessed.

If you work under the Construction Industry Scheme, CIS statements are handled the same way:

You: (send a CIS deduction statement)
SubReady: “Gross £2,500 · CIS deducted £500 · Net received £2,000 — recorded against your CIS records.”

You can also just ask questions about your numbers — “How much have I spent on materials this month?” — and get a plain answer back.

Step 3 — Stay ready

Because everything is captured as you go, there’s no year-end scramble. Your records build up all year in one organised place, and you can see them any time in the web app or on your phone.
