Help · QuotesQuotes and CONVERT
Price the job first without touching your books — then one word turns the quote into an invoice.
Why quotes are separate
A quote is a price, not income — so it stays out of your books entirely. Its PDF is clearly stamped QUOTE with a valid-until date, so nobody can mistake it for a bill and your figures aren’t polluted by jobs that never happened.
On WhatsApp
- Message the quote like an invoice, but as a quote: “Quote Mrs Hughes £2,400 for the bathroom, labour 1800 materials 600”.
- Send the QUOTE-stamped PDF to your customer.
- When they say yes, reply CONVERT — the quote becomes a live invoice with the same details, now in your books and tracked like any other invoice.
- Job didn’t land? Quotes can simply be deleted — no trace in your figures.
In the web or mobile app
- Open Quotes and create a new quote — customer, line items, valid-until date.
- Preview and send the PDF.
- On acceptance, tap convert to invoice — one tap, no retyping.
Tips
- Itemise labour and materials on the quote — the split carries into the invoice, which keeps CIS deductions correct.
- Give quotes a realistic valid-until date — materials prices move.
